I have made my very first ATC, artist trading card, and this is something I could really get into. I have really enjoyed Singtatters and all the superb cards she makes, so I did a bunch research on all the wonderful cards. I figure this would be such a fun way for me to always create, yet be able to have small pieces to trade with friends .
I am always giving pieces away, yet not everyone wants huge pieces all the time, and I can't really afford to give big pieces away with some of the materials that go into making them.
For my first ones, I used hand drawn, pen and ink, and made
them simple, and did New Mexico since that is where I currently live.
I plan on doing many mediums, and putting Tatting on them
and having a lot of fun with them.
but also, not jumping full head into them, I still have a lot of
projects to finish first.
So without further a-due, here are my very first,
ATC's
Hope you like these, :) they were fun to make :)
Bree :)
I love New Mexico and these are perfect! Lovely work, Bri!

I've been looking at these for quite awhile too although I'm not sure how I would use them. I think more as a creative business card, a sample of my work. I wouldn't trade them just for the purpose of accumulating a collection, or at least I don't think I would. These are very nice. Do you have something on the back too?
ReplyDeleteVery cool! I have also admired Singtatter's ATCs, and I did research. That's about as far as I got. Some day...
ReplyDeleteon the back I put my name, the name of the card, then the number of the set, like 1 of 1, 1 of 2, 1 of 3, what the medium is, hand drawn, pen and ink, and my email address.
ReplyDeletewhen I was doing the research on them that is what several of the sites said should be put on the backs, oh, and the date created.
I am not sure if I am going to trade them or just give some of them to my friends, which is what I usually do with most of my work, lol.
I already know who is getting one of these, and I am going to make 3 more of these, just like this, but out of fabric and try. to put some tatting for the different elements. so we will see how that works out, like I said, I have a lot of wips already, lol
I have to finish my blouse, and my hanky for Paula first, lol
Very nicely done! Red or green?
ReplyDeleteoh, I missed something, red or green what, lol
ReplyDeleteLovely...these look like a lot of fun to make...might be something I'll have to try...know what you mean about the WIPs though!!!
ReplyDeleteI love this idea - your cards look great. I made hundreds of trading cards using rubber stamps when I was a Stampin' Up! demonstrator - but I had hundreds of fellow stampers at conventions to trade with.
ReplyDeleteI would probably have fun making these now, but with no one to trade with, I'd end up putting them away and finding them again when I'm on a cleaning roll!
Hey, your first ATC's turned out great! I've done a few with tatting and they're great fun to make and swap.
ReplyDeleteLovely ATCs. Hmmm, I really like that acronym - wips. It sounds much better than UFOs (unfinished objects). From now on I shall have WIPS. Some of them just may be 'in progress' for a loooong time.
ReplyDeleteLovely ATC's I love the colour and your image, well done I am sure anyone will enjoy them as much as the tatting
ReplyDeleteMargaret
lol Eliz, I have a lot of wips, lol, some are in progress for a very long time, and I go back and back and back to them, and just do a little tiny bit at a time, haha, but that is alright :D eventually they will no longer be wips and be finished projects :)
ReplyDeleteThank you all for your wonderful comments about the ATC's, I have made another one that is going to a friend and I will get it posted soon :) I do appreciate all the support, ty vm :)
