gahhhh

oh pfft, I started my last row, and I have decided, I am cutting off at the 3rd row,... yup, you read that, cutting the 3rd and 4th row off right off.

you see, the 4th row just isn't fitting right, and I know what the problem is,

my tension on the 3rd row is too loose.... I  was worried about making the long chains look so pretty and even, that I left the tension sooo loose, that now the  4th row is being stretched out of shape in some places and pulling the 3rd row out of it's nice shape... when I lay it our flat, which it used to do, it pulls and looks wonky, it won't lay flat, and well, it looks like crap... so, off it is coming, and I am going to re-do it.     ok, back to starting the 3rd row again pfft.....
(plus after looking at this and starting to cut off the third row, I realize, I completely missed half of the rings.... omgs, how could I do that and not even see it?  really good thing I am cutting it off!!!)

Happy tatting, Bri..

I am going to make a signature, I see them on other blogs, and they always look so nice :D I am going to have to make one :D

  1. Have you thought of blocking before you cut to see if that may solve it? Lovely colors!

  2. I thought about it, but I was looking at it and I noticed, I messed it up really bad, I forgot half of the joining rings... I must have been more tired than I realized when I was tired! so, it has already been cut away and I have started again, lol, no idea how long it will take me to get it done, but here I go :D

  3. Ouch! I feel your pain RE: taking the scissors to rounds three AND four. Don't feel like you have to rush to redo. Take your time and only do a little each sitting. Your progress thus far has been FAB and you are so brave to perform lace-saving surgery.

  5. I love the way Tatting looks. I've never tried it and wouldn't know where to begin but I do crochet, well did until the carpal tunnel took over. I'm taking care of that now.
I do understand your frustration though, I've restarted projects many, many, many times, LOL!!! Sometimes it's just the beginning that can be the challenge. Good Luck. Love Di ♥
