For the rosette, I was browsing through the Beeton's Book of Needlework,
another vintage book, with many wonderful things,
Though the first url is full of many wonderful things to tat,
the url below is where I found the rosette :)

ReplyDeleteThat's exactly the rosette pattern I saw back in July, and it's interesting how they used different terminology back then. I just wrote out the numbers of the knots and picots and figured it out from there.
Your version with the rings is intriguing, though. It makes a distinct 'star' design in the middle!
