passing

My mom has succumb to her illnesses, and passed on Saturday morning.  Though we were expecting it, it still came as a shock and surprise.  I may or may not be tatting for a little bit, we have arrangements to make and things to get squared away, so please don't think I abandoned anyone simply for lack of hearing from me.

I will get back into the swing of things when I can.  There is no family left, only myself and my mom's partner of 23 years.    It is all surreal, and I am still  having a hard time processing the fact she isn't actually here any more.

Blessed be to everyone out there who has lost a loved one, and may you all find comfort in the ones you still have close.

  8. I am so sorry, Bree. We are never prepared for losing a loved one, no matter how expected. We can never be prepared for the depths of emotions that rock us when we have lost that link to our childhood, the strength we have relied upon and against whom we measure ourselves. May you be cradled in your mother's love at this time. You are in my thoughts and prayers. Blessings
